She engages herself in many extracurricular activities and tries her hardest to obtain good grades. Isabeli tends to put herself before others and doesn't like to socialize. She believes that having one or two close friends is satisfying enough. Isabeli is fairly confident and doesn't pay attention to gossip. Isabeli can be slightly critical of herself and jealous of others at time, but is smart enough to not show it. She refuses to let her weakness be known and only allows others to see her as the strong, determined individual.
Isabeli is not very approachable nor talkative. At times, she can even be cold and abrasive, even to her own family. She is kind to those who show and treat her with kindness, although she doesn't always fully match it, and she is ruthless to those that stand in her way and serve as a threat to her achievements. She tends to hold grudges and does not easily trust in people. She has trouble with keeping friends and engaging in social activities because she much prefers to be alone and work on improving herself.

» HISTORY: Jack and Mira were both high school sweethearts who originally lived whereabouts in Ohio. They both shared a talent and passion for theatre and city life, and aimed to someday make it to the big apple. They both applied to only colleges in or near Manhattan, New York, and studied theatre there for four years. Together, they landed small roles in Off-Broadway productions while working seconds jobs to maintain their apartment in NYC. When they realized that their dreams of making it big wasn't going to work out as well as they had hoped, they decided to settle down, get married, and raise their first child together.
Isabeli Marie Carlson was born on March 30th, 1994 as the first and only child to Jack and Mira Carlson. Mira often stayed home with the child while Jack was out until all hours of the night working at his job. By the time Isabeli turned four, Mira had wanted to resume her career as a theatre actress, but Jack strongly disagreed. Sick and tired of the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, he wanted to move back to Ohio and work for a relative. Jack and Mira could not come to agreement with each other in terms of their future, and ended up getting a divorce. Mira, far too attached to the child to give her up, fought for and won full custody of her child.
From the age of five, Isabeli attended the very same all-girls private school in Manhattan. At school, she made many friends and accelerated in academics and athletics. With her mother's busy schedule, Isabeli was often occupied with after school tennis and ballet lessons, as well as a rigorous school curriculum. By the time she reached middle school, she realized that she had a strong passion for the theatre and singing. Her mother immediately provided her with voice lessons and had her compete for spots in prestigious music festivals such as All-State, where she earned her place as one of the sopranos. In order to remain balanced in her activities, Isabeli also worked on improving her tennis skills and participated in local competitions. The more activities Isabeli engaged in, the more competitive she grew.
In addition to working on her singing, Isabeli learned to grow a strong appreciation for acting as well. Leading up to her high school years, Isabeli aimed to try out for every school production and made it her personal goal to obtain the lead role, viewing hat in itself as a competition. While she didn't always land the lead role, she did obtain some success in her middle school theatre career such as starring as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and Joanna in Sweeney Todd. These role and may others proved to be her among first big accomplishments. She preferred being deemed as the star in a play and winning singles tennis matches as opposing to singing in group choruses, so she decided to concentrate more on theatre and tennis as she entered high school.
The transaction from middle school to high school was a breeze; she was still with the same set of girls from kindergarten and she would be faced with new opportunities to shine in. In the fall season of sports Isabeli was the only freshman to make the Varsity Tennis Team, which she added to her long list of personal achievements. After fall sports came to an end and the winter season began, Isabeli tried out for her school's theatre production of Phantom of the Opera, her all-time favorite musical, which collaborated with a nearby all-boys private school. While she did make the cast as part of the chorus, she did not land the lead role of Christine Daae because of her inability to connect well with her male counterpart. This emotionally wrecked Isablei for a short while, but the rejection only made her stronger and more determined to do better in the future. Because she was so caught up with school work and engaging in extracurricular activities and competition, her ability to socialize slowly deteriorated overtime. She was far too concerned with her self-image and achievements to actually allow herself to enjoy her time as a teenager.
Refusing to let boys get in the way of her personal goals and achievements, Isabeli didn't make any effort to even acknowledge them in a socially romantic way. The only romance she felt with a boy was when she would interact with one during theatre productions, which was far from anything like the real feeling. Nevertheless, she only allowed herself to accept what was purely professional.
In the summer between grades 10 and 11, Isabeli's life changed for the worse. Isabeli was informed by her mother that she had to move to Ohio and live with her father, stepmother, two step-siblings, and half-sister. Her mother's Broadway career was too demanding for her to properly raise her anymore, and only thought it fair to send her to live with her father. Isabeli grew depressed and pleaded with her mother to just let her live on her own in Manhattan, but her mother refused, and claimed that she was too young. Reluctantly, Isabeli left midway through the summer to live with her father's family in Lima, Ohio, where she would attend McKinley High as a junior in the fall.
Growing up as an only child and having to live with three other "siblings" was uncomfortable for Isabeli. Her older stepsister Anna was much older than her and worked most of the time, her younger stepbrother Luke was in middle school and was nothing but an annoyance, and little her half-sister Jane was likable, but Isabeli refused to show any feelings of affection for her. As nice and welcoming as her father and his family was, Isabeli remained as aloof and distant from them as she could.
At McKinley, Isabeli grew easily bored and became even more anti-social. The Ohio students were nothing like Isabeli's classmates from New York, and the immaturity of most of the boys and their obsession with football and cheerleaders repulsed her. She began the school year trying out for the Varsity Girls Tennis Team, where she snagged the title as team captain with ease. In addition to that, Isabeli reluctantly tried out for the closest thing to theatre at McKinley, the New Directions glee club, at the request of her Spanish teacher, Mr. Schuester. She considers Rachel Berry to be her biggest competition and tries her best to outshine her on a daily basis in every which way possible.

» RP SAMPLE:The past couple of months had been emotionally draining for Katarina. Between her father's death and her brother Henrick taking his place as sovereign, Katarina had trouble finding so much as an ounce of happiness left in her life anymore. Ever since her mother gave birth to Henrick, she knew her life was cursed. It was destined from his birth that he would become the next sovereign, but no one expected that he would earn that very title so soon. As a child, Katarina was very fond of her father. He was the one who would take her horseback-riding and discuss politics with her, a topic she found truly fascinating. When he had died, Katarina had feared for her country. She knew that Henrick was still a silly, inexperienced boy who was highly incapable of running a country. And yet he was the one who got to sit on the throne and call the shots. It sickened her to the core. When would it get to be her turn? When would she finally get the attention and acknowledgment that she truly deserved? She was after all, the first child born to the king and queen. Despite being a woman, Katarina considered herself to be equally swift as a man when it came to politics. She had strong opinions about how her her country should be ruled and how other countries should be dealt with. But what did that matter? She had practically no say in her brother's ruling. She was simply born a princess, and would eventually die as one too. Her husband however, thought otherwise.
Soren Holst was the perfect man for Katarina. He was equally as cunning and ambitious as she, and just so happened to be attractive too. But what separated her from her husband was their strength. He was practically fearless. She had always admired how he would never let anything get in his way, and whatever he wanted he made sure he got. Katarina however, was not as strong. Sure, she got what she wanted through means of manipulation, but she had never been faced with something that stood in her way from getting what she wanted. Not until now. To her husband, her dream of becoming queen was something obtainable. All one had to do was simply knock down whatever it was in their way. It all sounded so easy and simple, but for Katarina, it was a struggle. Not only would she have to kill off Henrick, but the rest of her sisters, brothers, and mother too. Katarina wasn't sure if she was emotionally up to the task, she felt as if she had so much to lose. But she couldn't let her husband down. As a good wife, she had to give him what he truly desired most in life no matter what. And Katarina was hellbent on doing just that.
Strolling through the courtyard, Katarina found herself bored. She wasn't amused by the Scottish guests that her brother the king found to be so wonderful. Katarina hated the Scottish. She hated anyone who wasn't Danish really, but for some reason, she particularly hated the Scottish. It sickened her that her brother was so fond of these redhead princesses. She didn't understand why her country had to be the one to provide the hospitality. She was sick of putting on a happy face for them and socializing with the women while instead she could be discussing politics or plotting with her husband. It was clear to her that absolutely no good could possibly come out of the Scottish's visit. None at all. The worst part of all were the rumors. There was nonstop gossip about the possibility of Princess Catriona becoming Henrick's wife. Just the idea alone gave Katarina an ulcer. Furthermore, it frighteningly proved that her husband's plot to put and end to Henrick's reign needed to be acted on as soon as possible; preferably before he married, and certainty before he had any children. The idea of Henrick having a little redheaded prince that would someday be the future king of her country made her want to scream.
Katarina was seconds away from strangling the annoying ladies that accompanied her and the Scottish princess on their stroll through the courtyard. They giggled and squealed at the mere mention of the name "Henrick" in hopes of hearing some juicy details about their supposed marriage, but they were far too scared to blatantly ask their girl about her relationship with him. In a way, Katarina was curious to know more about their relationship. The more information she had, the more accurate her plot would be. She would then know who else stood in her way, and when a good time to silence them would be. But no details were revealed, the conversation was stagnant and dull. Katarina remembered her first meeting with the Scottish princess. It was during winter at the fox hunt; they didn't really chat for a substantial amount of time to learn enough about each other, but it was enough time to form an opinion. Something about Catriona bugged Katarina. It wasn't because she was Scottish, or unfriendly and unattractive. There was just something about her that Katarina loathed. Silencing the ladies with an icy stare, Katarina turned to face the Scottish princess and forced a smile. "Princess, do you happen to know much longer your family intends to stay here? I'm sure your people back home miss you terribly." If she planned to stay any longer, it was only a matter of time before all hell broke loose.
