I can't really explain it, I haven't got the words. It's a feeling that I can't control
But I suppose it's like forgetting, losing who you are but at the same time something keeps you whole.
Though you wouldn’t think the snotty Paige Knight would even dream of getting up early, but she always did. Arriving at McKinley High before most did, so she could practise her ballet every day, in the peace and solace of the almost silent school. There she was in the auditorium, dressed in her usual practise clothes with her usual self confident smirk on her face. She quickly moved over to the wings of the auditorium and warmed up, getting an injury was not high on Paige’s agenda. No way was she hurting herself, that would impact on her skin care regime. No way was that ever happening, she needed to remain in pristine condition. Warmed up to her satisfaction Paige nodded satisfied to herself and moved to centre stage. The place where she always needed to be with everyone’s attention firmly upon her. But if these New Directions freaks (of which she was one sadly, Paige still hated her mother for blackmailing her into doing it) were determined to stick her tra-la-la-ing in the background as always. Background singer? Hmph, she was sort of popular! She deserved the limelight a lot more than those freaks! But she pushed away those thoughts and since nobody was here, she decided to sing. After all who was watching? No-one exactly. So she started to do her ballet, it was fairly slow. So it was fairly easy for her to multi task and sing at the same time, well it always was after all.
I can't really explain it, I haven't got the words
It's a feeling that you can't control
I suppose it's like forgetting, losing who you are
And at the same time something makes you whole
It's like that there's a music, playing in your ear
And I'm listening, and I'm listening, and then I disappear
Paige sang almost to herself but it seemed to echo across the auditorium, she closed her eyes and spun as she danced. Lost in the music was what some people called it, well Paige called it ballet and she was getting lost, electricity was exactly how she felt when she danced. Aside from fencing it meant a lot to her, maybe she could consider doing it professionally? But that was in the future and she had a year until she had to think about all those weird things to do with her distant future.
And then I feel a change, like a fire deep inside
Something bursting me wide open, impossible to hide
And suddenly I'm flying, flying like a bird
Like Electricity, electricity
Sparks inside of me, and I'm free, I'm free
It's a bit like being angry; it's a bit like being scared
Confused and all mixed up and mad as hell
It's like when you've been crying
And you're empty and you're full
I don't know what it is, it's hard to tell
It's like that there's some music, playing in your ear
But the music is impossible, impossible to hear
The music playing inside her head sped up and so did her dancing, it was almost as if she was in a dreamlike state. But it wasn’t a nightmare, it was a beautiful dream, everything that she had always wanted in a dream. But it wasn’t all at the same time still her eyes remained shut.
But then I feel it move me
Like a burning deep inside
Something bursting me wide open
Impossible to hide
And suddenly I'm flying
Flying like a bird
Like Electricity, electricity
Sparks inside of me
And I'm free, I'm free
Electricity sparks inside of me
And I'm free, I'm free
Oh, I'm free
Then it was over, her dream and she opened her eyes. Covered in a thin layer of sweat and her cheeks burned red. But she wasn’t embarrassed was she? She couldn’t tell right then but she sat down and started stretching, as she always did. Then she’d go and change into her real clothes.
