» OVERALL PERSONALITY: Sporty is a nice way to describe Ariel's freight train of competition and drive. She believes she is the best at everything, and is going to make sure she proves it before she dies. In the end, Ariel is only sub-par in the sports world, but succeeds in academia. Ariel has the balls to stand up for what she believes in, even when it leads to people leaving her life forever. Ariel knows that one day everyone will leave her alone and lonely, basically because she has the self-confidence to say to herself "You're really mean, and people are going to hate you for that. Get used to being alone". This daily ritual has led to Ariel being slightly closed off to those of the opposite sex, but it never stopped her from partying with everyone and anyone she met along her road of life. She discovered she was bi-curious, which has led to her newer personality. One that tries to be kinder about gossip and saying mean stuff about people who don't deserve it.
Ariel has assessed that people who have it coming, are going to get whatever they deserve from her. In this issue, she would never fight someone in hand-to-hand combat. Or weapons, for the matter. Ariel is actually physically exhausted easily and hates having to take a verbal or psychological fight to the real world, which has fists and hits really hard sometimes. It has led her to back off people a bit easier than some teenage girls with so many raging hormones. Hell, she has provoked Santana enough to get her to practically scratch her eyes out when she even smells her. Ariel can't help but be a tiny bit proud of that fact. All that ego and nowhere to put it makes Ariel a very cocky individual.
*i was born this way,
» PARENTS: Joesph & Leona Yorkshire
» SIBLINGS: Regina Yorkshire, 24
» PETS: Goldfish named Goldfish
» SIGNIFICANT OTHER: None
» OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE: None
» HISTORY: Born to Joseph and Leona Yorkshire, they were well prepared for their second child. Little Regina was already six years old and reading, so the two real estate agents became parents, for a second time. Ariel Daniella Yorkshire was, by far, the best tempered baby at the hospital during her first week of life in the hospital. She was there for extra days when her doctor, Dr. Simms, realized she was beginning to develop cerebral palsy, and knew that if caught early that the disease could be treated. Leona was a nervous wreck about her wonderful daughter being diagnosed with such a rare and strange disease. Dr. Simms assured her that everything would be fine, and Joseph even said: “Leona, little Ariel got through all this without a peep. You can do anything your newborn can, honey.” Ariel turned out fine, if not with her slightly less than average eyesight and irregular seizures for a two year period between when she was seven and nine
.
Ariel grew up into a well developed little girl. She made friends easily, and enjoyed all her music classes. She joined the school’s music program as soon as possible and fell in love with the saxophone. She played the thing night and day, leaving her mother no choice but to get her private lessons at a local studio, so she wouldn’t have to play so often in the house. Ariel learned that she had a better developed mind towards music, unlike some of the other less than competent seventh graders. She specifically remembers a time when her band teacher told the other children to play more like she was, and scolded them for not practicing enough. This led to the great “kick me” sign pandemic towards Ariel for about a week and a half. That is, before Ariel became close friends with the nurse and she announced that the next person to kick Ariel would have to mop up the vomit in her office every day after school for two weeks.
Once in high school, Ariel sort of merged into a new person. Her usually dark red hair filled in with the current dark brown color. She learned that boys were especially fun when nervous and stuttering, as well as that they were good for nothing but kissing. In fact, Ariel gave her first kiss away to Noah Puckerman, in a game of spin-the-bottle. She hates to say that the biggest player of McKinley was once caught in a lip-lock with her. Around her mid-sophomore year, Ariel dropped band and music all together. She hated the constant nagging about applying to a musical arts school in her future. She joined the track team for about two months. One day, at practice, she realized that she hated running. No reason, just hated putting one foot in front of the other at such a high speed for almost next to nothing. She quit that also, and joined soccer. She’s now the number one goalie on the team and loves the feeling of smacking the ball as far away from the net as she can.
Her home life is a different story. When Ariel was around fifteen, she caught her sister in the bathroom with a pregnancy test. Regina explained she was pregnant, and scared to death about what was going to happen. She told Ariel to promise not to tell their parents, and Ariel promised, although nervously. She later let the little fact slip at a dinner, and the next day, Regina was gone. All that was left was a note from her explaining that she was going to get an abortion to comply with her parents’ lifestyle, but decided to keep the baby. She also said that Ariel was the only reason she left home, because she let the secret slip out for no good reason. This simple fact led Ariel into the life of drugs…specifically K2 and LSD, anything to make her feel better and less alone for a little while; it all made her feel great, especially when it got her a boyfriend. Her boyfriend, Greg, was also her dealer, and they’d get high and leave for whatever they wanted to do that night. This led to Greg smashing his truck straight into a pair of kids, and driving away as quickly as he could. Ariel broke up with him the next day, but was too nervous about cops finding out she was doing drugs to say anything. It all led Ariel to be who she is today, and she may not be proud of it all, but there’s no way to change it now.

» RP SAMPLE:The small drawer was almost like an infant to Ariel. It held her mother’s only piece of jewelry that the burglars hadn’t stolen. Almost every night, she would pull out the pearl necklace and pray over it. She’s pray for her safety, and world peace, and anything that came to her mind at the time. It was all so ridiculous if she ever thought about explaining this fact to anyone. And yet, she had told Ulysses the entire story on their first date. He was…different, to say it in simple terms. Ariel couldn’t quite wrap her head around what Ulysses was actually like. He was simply sweet, and yet he tore off in the night on a motorcycle that usually was driven under the influence. Ariel may not have understood what he was exactly, but she knew that he was perfect for her.
She’d ridden with Ulysses plenty of times, almost too many to count. He had a way of making her calm at just the feel of his back on her chest when they whizzed through downtown Ohio. He would laugh at her squeezing his body closer, and the vibrations always made her laugh right alone. But tonight was different. They weren’t laughing, or holding each other close. Tonight was all about finding somewhere to have sex, and get the tension they’d held for the past few days out. Ariel felt herself frown at the thought of losing the chase. She had been the one who suggested they just “get it over with”, so to speak. But at the time she’d suggested it, it was such a great idea. They’d been kissing, obviously, and Ariel wanted to take it further, just not in the restaurant’s restroom. She insisted they find a motel, and she’d pay.
Ulysses had never driven so fast, it almost pained her to watch the determination on his face. He wanted her so bad, and yet she was riding with him, full of freaking regret about her idea. Why had she even said anything if she wasn’t ready to end what she had with Ulysses right then? Either she made him stop now, or got over with something she was already calling her biggest mistake. She took in the biggest breath she could, before tapping on Ulysses’ left shoulder. That was their secret symbol to say “pull over”. Ariel breathed again when they finally stopped.
“What is it Ariel?” God he had a nice voice. Maybe she should just go on. Just go with the flow, as her parents would say. Ariel thought twice about going through with it just because of her thought about her parents being okay with it.
“I was wondering…do we have to do this whole ‘let’s have sex’ thing tonight?” Ariel asked. She was embarrassed beyond her control. She just wanted an answer, but instead got his shaking body on her chest. She tried to dig her face into his back, to disappear forever. That is, until he lifted her head up and nodded.
